Agricultural machinery transport

We transport combines, tractors, seed drills, cultivators and other wide agricultural machines between farms, from dealers or from imports. We plan the transport around the season, check what can be removed and obtain the permit when the width exceeds the legal limit.

What we transport

We work with farmers, dealers and agricultural contractors, for moves between farms, deliveries of new machinery and machinery brought in from imports.

  • grain combines, with the header removed and transported separately;
  • large tractors, including articulated, tracked or with dual wheels;
  • wide folding seed drills, cultivators and harrows;
  • self-propelled sprayers;
  • balers, trailers and agricultural tankers;
  • equipment for silos, dryers and irrigation systems.

Why agricultural machinery is almost always oversize

Agricultural machines are built wide, to cover a lot of ground in a single pass. A large combine is often over 3 m wide even without the header, and a tractor with dual wheels easily exceeds 2.55 m. Above 3.20 m width, the transport also needs an escort vehicle, and above 4.50 m, two.

That is why, before quoting, we check what can be removed: the header, the dual wheels, the mirrors or the folding parts. A few centimetres can make the difference between a transport with an escort and one without.

Plan before the season

Demand for agricultural machinery transport rises before harvest and sowing, exactly when you need the machine in the field. If you know you are going to buy or move a machine, write to us in good time: we book the trailer and prepare the permit before the peak of the season.

Imported agricultural machinery

Many farmers and dealers bring in new or used machinery from Germany, France, the Netherlands or Denmark. We collect the machine from the seller, obtain the permits for every country on the route and deliver it to your farm, with the transport documents completed.

You can find details about the international routes under international oversize transport.

Questions about transporting agricultural machinery

Does the combine header have to be removed?

Yes, almost always. The header is transported separately, on the same truck if it fits or on another trailer, so that the width of the transport stays as small as possible.

How wide can an agricultural machine be and still travel without a permit?

Up to 2.55 m, including the vehicle, provided the 4 m height, the length and the permitted weights are also respected. Above any of these limits, a special transport permit is required.

Do you also transport a single small machine?

Yes. If the machine is within the legal dimensions, we carry it on an ordinary flatbed, without a permit and without the related costs.

Can I get a quote for a machine I have not bought yet?

Yes, and it is a good idea: you find out the transport cost before the purchase, so you can compare the sellers' offers properly.

Do you have an agricultural machine to transport?

Tell us what we are moving, from where and to where. We send you a tailored quote, for most requests in under 30 minutes during office hours.
