Project cargo for industrial projects
When a project depends on dozens of large pieces that must arrive in the order of installation, transport becomes part of the execution plan. We coordinate project cargo for energy, industry and infrastructure, with a single coordinator from the first estimate to the last delivery.

What project cargo means
Project cargo is the logistics of a project, not of a parcel: heavy, oversize or critical equipment for an investment, such as a power plant, a factory, a wind farm or a substation, moved according to a schedule shared with the site.
Unlike a simple oversize transport, here the order of deliveries, the unloading windows and the coordination with cranes and installation crews matter just as much. A piece that arrives too early clutters the site; one that is late stops the installation.
That is why we work with a transport plan for the whole project and a single coordinator, who follows each piece from the manufacturer to the foundation.
What we coordinate in a project
The transport plan
We split the packing list into stages and tie it to the installation schedule, so that pieces do not wait on site and the site does not wait for pieces.
Route surveys and transport engineering studies
For heavy loads, the AST permit is issued only on the basis of a transport engineering study drawn up by a licensed person. We work with licensed engineers and prepare the bridge checks in good time.
Permits in every country
We obtain the permits for all the countries on the route and synchronise the escort at every border.
Multimodal transport
We combine sea, river, rail and road transport: for example, from the ship in the Port of Constanța straight onto the trailer and on to the site.
Lifting and handling
We coordinate the cranes, the lifting equipment and, for very heavy moves over short distances, self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT).
Documents and customs
For equipment brought in from outside the European Union, we help you with the transport documents and the customs formalities.
Trailers and equipment
From flatbeds and lowbeds to hydraulic modular trailers and SPMTs: we choose from our partner network the equipment that carries every package of the project below the height limits and within the approved axle loads.
Available equipment (16)
Standard flatbed
3-axle lowbed
Semi-lowbed
4-axle extendable trailer
Well-deck lowbed (gondola)
6-axle hydraulic modular trailer
Indicative values for typical configurations. The actual payload depends on the configuration, the tractor unit and the axle loads approved in the AST permit.
Project cargo services
A project usually combines several modes of transport. Here is what we cover in each.
Industrial relocationsMoving a factory or a production line
Sea freight and breakbulkBreakbulk, RO-RO and flat rack, via Constanța
River transport on the DanubeBarges for very heavy pieces
Heavy haulageModular trailers, bridges, transport engineering study

What to send us for a quote
If you do not have all the details yet, send what you have. We make an initial estimate and complete it as the manufacturer confirms the dimensions.
- the packing list, with the dimensions and weight of each piece;
- the centre of gravity and the lifting points for heavy pieces;
- the exact loading and unloading addresses, with access for trucks and cranes;
- the delivery terms (Incoterms) and who handles the unloading;
- the project schedule and the windows in which the site can receive goods;
- drawings or photos, if available.

Questions about project cargo
What is the difference between project cargo and oversize transport?
Oversize transport refers to a load that exceeds the legal weight or dimension limits. Project cargo means organising all the transports of a project, oversize or not, according to the site schedule, often with several modes of transport.
Who do you organise project cargo for?
For general and EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, investors and installation companies: anyone who has to move large equipment according to a project schedule.
Who draws up the transport engineering study?
The transport engineering study is drawn up by a licensed individual or company, in line with the authorisation rules. We coordinate it together with licensed engineers and submit it with the AST application.
Can you collect the cargo directly from the port?
Yes. We organise collection from the Port of Constanța or other European ports, coordinate the unloading from the ship with the port operator and continue the road transport to the site.
Do you also use water transport?
Yes. For equipment coming from overseas we organise sea freight to Constanța or other European ports, and for very heavy pieces we can use barges on the Danube, with road transport only at the ends.
How early should we contact you?
As early as possible, ideally when you know the list of equipment and the delivery dates from the manufacturer. For very heavy pieces, preparation can take months: the record 788-tonne transports to the Mintia power plant in 2025 were prepared for almost a year.
