Oversize transport England (United Kingdom) – Romania
Used machinery, industrial equipment and structures travel between the United Kingdom and Romania in both directions. After Brexit, such a transport means British rules for abnormal loads, crossing the English Channel and customs formalities. We organise all of them, with a single coordinator.

What we transport between the United Kingdom (England) and Romania
On the United Kingdom – Romania route we mainly transport:
- used construction and agricultural machinery from British dealers and auctions;
- industrial equipment and machine tools;
- steel structures and components;
- boats and vessels;
- in the opposite direction, equipment and structures from Romania.
The British rules
In the United Kingdom, indivisible loads exceeding the usual limits mostly travel under the STGO, with prior notification to the police and the road and bridge authorities through the online ESDAL system. Loads wider than 5 m also need special approval (VR1), and above 6.1 m width, 30 m length or 150 t, a Special Order.
Crossing the English Channel
The transport reaches the United Kingdom by sea, on a ferry or a RO-RO ship from ports in France, Belgium or the Netherlands. We choose the port according to the dimensions of the transport, the availability of ships for abnormal loads and the route on both sides.
Customs
After Brexit, transports between Romania and the United Kingdom go through customs: export and import declarations and the transit formalities. We prepare them before departure, together with the cargo documents, so that the transport does not wait in the port.
What to send us for a quote
For countries outside the European Union we add the customs documents: the export or import declaration, the transit document and, where applicable, the bilateral transport permits.
- the dimensions and weight of the load, from the data sheet;
- the exact loading and unloading addresses;
- the preferred date and how flexible it is;
- who handles the loading and unloading (crane, ramp);
- the delivery terms (Incoterms), if you know them;
- a photo or a drawing of the cargo.
